“What was he thinking?”

Frances Choi (Korea)
Hannah Kilgore in Day of the Kamikaze

“When you see that human beings can do such things to other human beings, it leaves an effect on you and it makes you think about who we are and what we are and what we have the capability of doing towards each other.

“It’s just unbelievable that someone would give up their lives in the desperate hope that they would bring something or someone else down with them. I think it’s abominable.

“What was he thinking, the man who was about to kill other people and take his own life? What would he have been thinking? I’m really not sure because I don’t think I’d ever do such a thing.”
