April 7, 1945 Hit on USS Hancock (CV-19)

Even though the crew of USS Hancock (CV-19) escaped death on November 25, 1944, a kamikaze struck the ship on April 7, 1945, while the Fast Carriers were destroying the Imperial Japanese Navy's battleship Yamato.
