“They haven’t been changed by the war,”
Issa Blondeau in Day of the Kamikaze
“I think the most important thing is that they [the
veterans] were able to tell their stories without pointing fingers
at anybody. Because,
sometimes,
when we add things to the telling of our stories, we add our point
of view, thus, making the story different then what it might have
been in the beginning. That’s very essential to the knowledge
and the passing on of adventures. I don’t know if I can
call them so, but I…just that they didn’t point any fingers.
They haven’t been changed by the war, they haven’t turned
into monsters, and that’s a good thing.”
